”Kiraku” mean?
Kiraku “喜楽” (pronounced kee-rah-koo) is a Japanese word that means delight “喜” and joy “楽”. It perfectly reflects the feeling of delight you get when you enjoy a cup of Japanese green tea.

Our mission is to bring joy to everyday life by connecting Japanese green tea enthusiasts and lovers with a curated selection of premium craft Japanese matcha and green teas from passionate farmers and producers.

Our Founder
Meet Lisa.
Her passion for Japanese culture and language started as a middle-school obsession with Japanese anime and grew into getting her degree in Japanese language, time studying and working in Japan, and extensive travels throughout the country.
After a cancer diagnosis, she realized that she wanted to follow her dream and build something that brings joy to everyday life. While enjoying her daily matcha one morning and feeling the positive energy it gave her, she realized this was what she wanted to share.
She dove into an intensive Japanese tea study program, earning a Japanese Tea Master certification, and started her journey as a student of Japanese tea ceremony. With a grounded education in Japanese tea, and desire to introduce others to the simple joy Japanese tea can bring to daily life, she started Kiraku Tea.
